About the Author
Arun Gandhi, born in 1934, is the fifth grandson of Mohandas K. Gandhi, also known as Mahatma Gandhi. It's a very good little book. I enjoyed it. It was more autobiographical than anything else - not a whole lot you can take away from it, but a few things here and there, small tidbits that will definitely stay with you. I found out about this book from a friend overseas whose country (the Philippines) does not have Amazon shipping. He asked me to buy it for him and send it, which I did. After reading a bit of it, I decided to buy a copy for myself. I don't remember how much I paid, I think it was about $12-15, but the jacket says $24.00...overpriced. Arun Ghandi has had a most interesting life, thanks mostly to being a Ghandi. And like his 'Bapuji', he is a true humanitarian. A lesson for us all.
Reading this book has caused me to reflect on my daily thoughts and actions. I now actively use anger as energy to create a kinder environment for myself and others.
Very good book. Digestible in small chunks. Lots of useful, practical insights on the struggle to lead a more productive, peaceful life. I saw Arun Gandhi in person and picked up this book because of it. I have already given it to others to read because I don't want it sitting on my shelf. It needs to be out there in the world being read by others.
This is an amazing little book with a HUGE message. It is a book that we can keep going back to in order to fuel our resolve to "BE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD". KUDOS to Mr. Gandhi for delivering this important message in such a beautiful, poignant way.

Bought this for a 9 year old birthday girl, she completely loved it and that is great. I did deduct one star because as another reviewer pointed out the pages do look like they've been blown up and do appear kind of fuzzy, if this were for me I would deduct another star or send back as this would bother me so.
This is my 1st Adult Coloring Book, That I’ve actually started using. Absolutely LOVE the detailing & Sooo Much Fun! Just as Described & Highly Recommend This Book, Especially if your a Unicorn Lover!!
This book has some very detailed images of Unicorns for you to select for coloring. Because of the involvement and concentration needed in some of the more intricate pictures, I would suspect you'd like to have a glass of wine or 2 before embarking on this one. ;-)
Another delightful collection from Broderick Johnson. There are Unicorns in as many position as there are Unicorns! Standing, prancing, dancing, flying, playing, and many just looking you in the eye. IF UNICORNS ARE YOUR THING,THIS IS YOUR BOOK. Since there is not much to color on a run-of-the-mill Unicorn, My Johnson has added a great deal of frivolous do-dads and intricate designs on the mystical beasts to create the colorist a lot of detailed work to do. While this is not my favorite style of coloring, and Unicorns are not my favorite mythological beings, this is not my favorite coloring book; but it is well done and should be very popular with many people other than me. It does present a great deal of coloring challange.
The designs were great, but it’s obvious the images were stretched to fit the page, the outline/lines are thick and blurry—It looks like low resolution enlarged. Occasionally the ink from the coloring book bleeds with my marker colors. Again, the designs are beautiful and fun but I have resolved to only buy coloring books from an actual brick-and-mortar store because of this misstep.
My grand daughter is 8, and is all into unicorns. I got her this coloring book and she just loves it. She spends hours coloring in this and is very proud of the beautiful pictures she colors.

I would have given four stars if the book was correctly set up for Kindle, or at least the version of Kindle I own which I THINK is a Kindle6. The problem is that although there are a great many endnotes, unlike other, properly linked-up books, they do not link from the text, ie, if you click on the foolnote number it does nothing (and if you manually go to the footnote, clicking on its number does not get you back to the reference number in the text. Related to this is the problem of the table of contents, which is not at all in working order. As I said, I'd have given four stars for this timely, important contribution to the understanding of enemy doctrine, except it is self-repetitive a lot; if the redundancies were edited out -- as they should have been -- I would give it FIVE stars. I highly recommend works by Frank Gaffney, including his excellent series of YouTube videos, and by Stephen Coughlin, and by Bill Warner, to name just some of the very well-qualified analysts who all have YouTube videos AND good books to get on your Kindle. "Shariah: The Threat to America" joins these hard-hitting works in showing not what Islam "is", but what THE JIHADISTS -- including those engaged in pre-violent jihad via institution infiltration and propaganda -- BELIEVE it is. And they are bent on a single purpose: To bring the entire world under Shariah law, ultimately under a worldwide caliphate (ISIS is in violent jihad and has proclaimed a caliphate, but other violent and pre-violent jihadi organizations think it's not time for that -- yet -- due to present realities which see the Islamists in a weak position; if they had the power, they'd go violent and take over, which is the longterm objective). As Sun-Tzu said (I paraphrase): Know yourself and KNOW YOUR ENEMY, and you will prevail in battle. Refusal to understand Islam and Shariah AS THE ENEMY JIHADISTS (pre-violent as well as kinetically violent) UNDERSTAND IT, is a huge failure in knowing the enemy's doctrine, why they do what they do. The failure is made more unconscionable by the fact that you can find exactly what they think, and exactly why they do what they do, with a little investigation and study. Buy it and save it. Great info. More concise than most med surg books used. This is the book that tells you what to do when shit goes wrong. Very detailed, but in a practical “I’m here to save lives†mentality. This is advanced compared to your med surg class. Instead if one chapter in your med surg book this is a whole book on it.This will help you be more competent in detecting when your patient is taking the turn for the worse if you work on med surg. Likely your patient will transfer to ICU, but perhaps not if you piece together the s/s soon enough.
Has been a very helpful textbook for me as someone who was previously a biology major before I went into nursing. Although I have only really thoroughly covered the first 10 chapters, I already appreciate its method of using more scientific terminology for laying the foundation of each chapter's concepts. Lists many helpful article references in each chapter and appears to have very few editing errors unlike other nursing textbooks I have read through. Good foundations textbook for ICU nursing concepts. Has really opened my eyes to concepts of pain control, sedation, and understanding the patient's perspective on their ICU stay. Thanks!

This was my favorite book for all of nursing school. I wish I started my first semester with this book. It will definitely stay with me for the rest of my career.

My toddler is a diehard trucks, trains, cars kid.This seemed to be a good “gateway†book to something else (baking). Well, it didn’t work.But he loves it, and for that, it’s worth it.He likes naming the different construction machines (mixer, bulldozer, crane, pumping truck, loader, etc.) He also likes “reading†the sound effects which are written in big letters across some of the pages. He tells me which letters he sees and we sound out the noises together (“BRRRRRRR...†“CRRRRRRACK,†etc.)It’s an adorable, imaginative story with so many opportunities to learn and share with your kiddo. I particularly enjoy looking at every one of the little workers who are drawn simply but individually on each page—almost as if they have their own little story.I have never seen this book anywhere so it’ll be a hit at show and tell some day, I’m sure!
My 3 year old son is REALLY into tractors right now and REALLY into cake. So I saw this on Amazon and thought this would be a perfect birthday gift for his 3 year birthday party (as it was construction themed). He loves the book, it's about a bunch of tractors/trucks mixing and baking a cake. The illustrations are fun, but the book is sorely lacking on words. Some nights, though, that's a good thing if I don't feel like reading a long book to him before bed.One neat little thing about the book is that just about every page, there is a little guy who has fallen down on the ground. It's kind of like a "Where's Waldo" game. We find the "oopsy" guy who fell down. We still can't find him on one page, but we'll keep looking!

I had originally picked this book up at the library and my almost 5 year old son LOVED IT. we had tokeep the book checked out for a month.THis book is a real boy's book, one where a little boy can get lost in the fantasy of the images. There are not a lot of wrds. Basically its an imaginary world where this little little people, may be an 1" high make a cake for us regular sized folks. So they use minature equipment to handle life sized eggs butter and equipment.My son just loves to look at this book with me and sometimes I'llread the words, add my own story, or we'll discuss it or he'll tell me. Book has detailed illustrations of various construction vehicles...that may help to learn how to draw these vehicles as well. Construction vehicles have various attachments I did not even know exist...this book couples well with "Digger" from series Machines at Work, you'll find real photographs of many of the diggers depicted in "Who made the cake" in "Digger".[...]

Our daughter, Kelly Vella won the television reality show, Forged in Fire. I gave her this book and she loves it! Here are a few of her knives. The horse head sword is her remake of the sword that she won with. The show kept her original. Good for anyone who wants to be better.
This book has a lot of great info but it feels very old. The info is still valid and I learned a lot from it.
Great Book. There is a lot of information in this book that is a "must need" to know about working steel/iron for knife/sword making. I would suggest this book along with the videos of "how to" to get a more thorough understanding of forge working and working with steel.
Great read, but seems more like an intermediate level read at times. That said, I'm still building my first smithy and have yet to swing a hammer on hot steel. I would definitely recommend this to any level, neophyte to well, someone with more skill than I. Lots of pearls inside.
If you are new to bladesmithing, this is the go-to book for beginners. It has enough information on every aspect of bladesmithing to get you thru your first blades. However, I would recommend starting with a book on basic blacksmithing. (A Blacksmithing Primer is a good book that will get you acquainted with how hot steel molds under the hammer.) This book is very informative, well organized and instructive.The steel guide in the back are great. It is an appendix that rates different grades of steel and lists what the proper hardening and tempering temperatures are, as well as the preferred quenching medium,
This was a gift. The man who received it loves it. He's an experienced bladesmith and has made many beautiful knives. Yet, he found the book informative and interesting.
If you are interested in forging knives or knife making in general this is one book that should be in your workshop.It covers everything from setting up the workshop, the forging process and sheath making. The book is interesting because it focuses to some extent on making swords of the western medieval style so would also be of interest to historical rein actors.It was an expensive book in it's hardcover option but beautifully produced. Now that it's available as a softback or electronically there's no excuse for you not to own it!
very much liked this book. It is informative without being boring or overly complex. There are a fair number of pictures and drawings. You can never have to many pictures. I think it is a good starting foundation for smithing. I would recommend it.
