I am not a direct victim of limb loss. I have a family member who has experienced this dreadful outcome and in ways, I feel like it has happened to me as well. Reading this book has given me an insight into what he was and is experiencing without him having to find the words himself. My eyes are opened to his true pain inside and out and for that I am greatly appreciative. I now feel like my family can move forward with confidence and assurance that we are all on the same page. Our road to recovery is now clear and I can praise God for an open and honest book. This book is very informative. I hope and pray that all people who have experienced amputation in some way can have a source of information like this book was for me. In some ways, this book provided stability and guidance that you just can't find on your own. Many praises for this book and what it has done for our family!
This was a very thorough and thoughtful book. He spoke from the heart and let you into the personal and "real" side of life after limb loss. I felt like I was walking beside him on his journey. I laughed, cheered, and cried through the pages as I read. Although I have never personally lived through a limb loss I have watched a friend struggle through a limb loss. I only wish this book had been around when she needed it. I highly recommend this book as a guide for a family or friend who may be facing or has faced a recent limb loss. Very valuable information. Well written. Thank you for sharing your story with others.

An amazing book--excellent. Great service.
I confess that I was a bit disappointed by this book. I was hoping for a book about sumptuous Moroccan decorating and living the Moroccan lifestyle. This book really only barely touches on that. The actual focus of the book is concentrated on a few hotels and restaurants located in Morocco but owned mostly by people foreign to Morocco, with the addition of a few homes of wealthy people in the United States who have been somewhat influenced by Moroccan style. This book contains no pictures of the interiors of homes of the average Moroccan citizen at all.Also, the decorating style advocated in this book is one of an overall Contemporary style with Moroccan influences. In the case of this book, "New" Moroccan Style equals an almost Asian minimalist approach with a few Moroccan handicrafts thrown in. If you're looking for a book with pictures featuring the more well-known "More is better!" Moroccan decorating approach, with layer on top of layer of textile and color, you are bound to be as disappointed as I was. The decorating style featured in this book is very restrained compared to most other books on Moroccan style that I have encountered.I still give the book four stars overall for content and information. For what the book actually is, it's not a bad book at all. It just isn't exactly what you'd expect it to be, either. The text discussing the origins of Moroccan style, from the Berber influence to Andalusian style, is especially informative. The recipes included in the book, along with pictures, are also a nice bonus.
Glad I took it out of the library & didn't purchase it, as it is reeeeaaally disappointing. The cover is not at ALL indicative of the inside contents. The cover photo looks rather contemporary/hip and is quite colorful. But inside, the entire book is filled with dull-looking photos that frankly weren't shot very well. The pics have no richness and no drama--and this becomes very repetitive from one page to the next. None of the essence of the country's design comes through either. How is it that with a colorful country as a subject, & people who are absolute masters at design & pattern, we are only seeing photos that show everything as dull, brown and soft? The pages aren't well-designed either (no creativity with layout or typography in evidence), so that--combined with the dim photos--makes for an incredibly uninspiring read. There are some recipes but as one other person said, it mostly concentrates on what a few expatriates have done with their homes or hotels. If you are looking for inspiration and instruction on creating Moroccan style for yourself, check out "Marrakesh By Design" instead--I took it out at the same time and it looks to be quite promising.

Great book, full of useful information, worth the small investment. Of course you need to know your stuff regardless (this is not a magic book), it will only reinforce what you know,or should know already. It will obviously not cover a full semester of Automotive engine repair class. There are six 45 question tests that will give you a good practice for the ASE test,and will also give you an idea where you are with your knowledge level.I passed the re-certification with no sweat.Good luck boys and girls.
I used this book as my primarily preparation to take an ASE test for the first time. I had already taken automotive classes at an Education Cultural Complex (part of San Diego City College District), then worked in the industry as an auto mechanic for two years. There were no exact matches to questions in the book that actually showed up on the ASE exams. By using these practice tests as a guide to see where I was weak worked out pretty well. When I had problems answering questions, I would resort to my text books or other sources to beef up my knowledge. I felt that this book worked for me using that approach to prepare for the exam. I also felt that my knowledge as a mechanic increased. I passed the exam easily. I don't believe that this book alone is the silver bullet to pass an ASE exam. It is a great tool to use in order to see where your knowledge stands. I even purchased practice exams from ASE and only one exact question showed up on the test. There are some quality control issues such as questions that don't have the correct illustration. There is one or two like that per book.

FRAN MANUSHKIN is the acclaimed author of over two dozen books for children, including Baby, Come Out!; Hooray for Hanukkah!; and The Matzah that Papa Brought Home. A native of Chicago, she lives in New York City, and travels extensively to promote her work at conferences and school visits.TRACY DOCKRAY's first picture book was Delia at the Delano, which was privately commissioned by Ian Schrager to celebrate the opening of his South Beach boutique hotel. I saw this book sitting on my girlfriends coffee table. Inquiring about it she told me it was for her almost 5 yr. grand-daughter, who repeatedly looks for it when she visits.I looked thru it and found it very cute. I have an almost 3 year old grandson and bought this book for him. I keep it in the car and he delights in the story, the rhyming words and pictures. But most of all he like the word Tushy. Tushy is a universal word that all little ones know. It is a delightful, amusing and clever book that I think all will enjoy.
What can I say.....a book about 'tushy's' - laughter abounding out of our child. We received one as a gift, then decided it would be a great gift for a friends 4 year old. She loved it! Made well, hardcover, solid paper, and great colors.Arrived right on time and in great condition. Would recommend.
What a fun book. Perfect around potty training time or by time really. Lighthearted.
Our almost 3 year old loves the Tushy book! It is very cute and one that we enjoy!
I chose this book because we call them tushies in our house, too. The words rhyme and its fun to read. Its a playful book with lots going on in the picture so it gives us things to talk about as we look through the book.
